A large contemporary family home that incorporates cutting edge design principles with clean lines, natural light, open style living with outdoor alfresco dining including sustainable design principles. The existing home was transformed and added to on the ground floor to incorporate the living quarters and on the first floor the sleeping quarters.  

 

The proposed works have been designed to capture sunlight and warmth in the winter months and the deep eave overhangs keep the heat away from the habitable areas during the warmer months. Sustainable design principles were addressed by providing sustainable glazing to all windows, doors and glass roof and by providing a 10,000 litre rainwater tank. This building received a high star rating in the BASIX assessment.

 

The highlight of the design was the large open living areas and the visual connection of the living spaces to the pool and gardens. Our proud clients were extremely overwhelmed with the cutting edge design.
